The U.S. Foreign Policy Shell Game: Free Trade It Isn't

While most Americans have been caught up since the election of Barack Obama with the increasingly downward spiraling economy, and Mr. Obama's solutions, which haven't been solutions at all merely attempts to supposedly bulk up Wall Street and the "global" economy at the American public's expense, as a former 45 year Arizona resident who is now in political exile due to the increasing negative consequences which had occurred over the course of years due to the "free trade" and open borders agendas, some interesting information came to light.

The information was publicized separately, but the connection is now unmistakeable.

Before former President Bush left office, he entered into the NAFTA agreements and also an initiative with Mexico, called the Merida Initiative that promised millions of dollars to the Mexican government in order to assist in the "fight" against the drug cartel activities which have intensified on America's southern borders.

I don't know that they have "intensified" at all, actually, since for as long as I can remember those drug cartels have operated cross borders almost with impunity. A few of the distributors in Arizona occasionally were the subject of focused groups throughout the years, but for the most part the cartels have been running drugs back and forth during the entire time I lived there.

Although in prior years while I was growing up, the "drugs" were not mostly heroin, meth and cocaine as they are today for big bucks and profits, but pot and hash. Mexico Gold was well known since the climate in Mexico is a little more tropical in most areas than that in the U.S. and thus for those that did imbibe, the quality better and not mixed with other agents as was found in the domestic varieties here in the United States.

It appears that part of those Merida monies were promised by Ms. Clinton in providing the Mexican government with several of our fully equipped Black Hawk helicopters. And also upgraded technology on the border for the use of their border agents.

In other words, this "free trade" is not "free trade" at all, but simply foreign aid given to Mexico in order to front them the monies in order to buy Silicon Valley's latest gadgets, similar to our own now at the ports of entry. Part of the "Security and Prosperty Partnership" agreement signed by Mr. Bush, Mr. Foxe (who has been replaced by Mr. Calderon) and Mr. Harper of Canada also during the Bush Administration. While we were, of course, also in a foreign engagement in Iraq also at the time feeding Silicon Valley also for the costs of the weaponry and communications systems from that engagement.

In other words, the American taxpayers in the form of those inflationary taxes which increase in lock step with our deficit "loaned" Mexico in the form of foreign aid the sums to buy Silicon Valley's gadgets.

While Ms. Clinton was then in China negotiating our foreign trade debt to them.

Of course, while the U.S. is also China's largest export recipient, and due to the outsourcing done by America's largest retailer and one of our auto manufacturers, also job creator. We did, after all, invest the automobile.

And ditto Mexico, who also has a large GM plant in Mexico City, and in most states, the "insourcer" of many of their citizens also crossing the borders at will which has adversely impacted the borders states in the number of jobs in the agricultural, hotel and hospitality, construction and with the Far East imports, even technology fields in Silicon Valley itself outsourcing its labor, but then billing the American taxpayers for its profit margins in the process for those foreign venture capitalists mostly from Europe.

While the domestic GM workers, of course, were given their pink slips. And the reason given that the U.S. economy was so poor. Gee, I wonder why?

In essence, American are paying not only personally in the jobs now lost to foreign countries and governments, but are actually paying those wages for that outsourced labor, and also picking up the tax for the domestic products now bought by foreign governments.

California and Silicon Valley venture capitalists didn't front those "loans," we all did. While then also lobbying for the digital cable bill with merely an offset of a credit for the installation of the boxes on American's televisions.

And without those export and import taxes levied on these transactions, American's then also picking up the tab for the Custom's inspections and updating of equipment needed from Silicon Valley for those needs.

And California this year claimed bankrtupcy?

I guess the state government also has a "free trade" agreement with that industry also.

Oh, that can't be right. The wheeler dealers that arranged for all this are mostly foreign investors, so those taxes were simply passed on and paid by the American Silicon Valley workers.

America. No longer the Land of Opportunity, but the Foreign Opportunists.

And brought to you by none other than the 545 (535 "misrepresentatives, nine Supreme Court justices and one president) of their Board of Directors members on Capitol Hill.

Betsy Ross,

You write some of the most incredulous wafty fabrications and dilusions of anyone I have ever seen, who tries to pass themself off as a writer, with any authority, inkling of fact, or credibility.

I have read your rambling, stilted articles and nasty comments to other writers on the Allvoices community for several months and I never see a single link to a credible source for any of the asinine accusastions you freely hose on everyone.

For some unknown reason, you think you have the journalistic free license to write erroneous things about any subject and say maligning things toward any person, without so much as smidge of evidence other than your written character asassination.

You are an embarrasment to writers and journalists who actually quote from reputable sources, link to factual sites, and make some effort toward ethical practices.

And I have attacked mainly your positions, if you would review the articles of yours I posted, and those of others. And stated the obvious. You have "liberal" concepts of America's government, and no basis or foundation in those beliefs also whatsoever. Since we do, after all, have a Constitution and it is the Rule of Law unless and until it is amended.

Or do you deny that also? And also how ludicrous some of your information on global warming and such has no basis also in fact or truth - and there are many, many scientists that also agree. But don't work for Wall Street investment companies involved in energy development, or the liberal universities in this country who are also spewing this garbage, and most from the West Coast and East Coast....both bastions of liberalism and socialism, actually.

And I guess, as most likely a Silicon Valley governmental grant money recipient writer, I could have expected such a outright laughable attack. Since my credentials speak for themselves, and have provided them on several occasions.

Worked for years for John Tate, corporate counsel for Wal-Mart in the 70's and 80's prior to its expansion nationwide, so was also a part of that from the ground up. So am a qualified and trained legal authority on "corporate" and contract matters. Of which the Constitution is one. Also studied the Constitution and American history in depth, and the writings of the founders from Adams to Henry.

Lived in Arizona 45 years. Graduate one year ahead of Ms. McCain in both grammar and high school, so lived there longer than Senator McCain himself. And well familiar with the border issues, and the reasons that that problem has escalated due to federal negligence throughout the years.

Father was a graduate of Penn State, with a degree in Wood Technoloogy, and also Chemistry. So have also a science background. Worked with the lumber mills and loggers, and also home builders throughout his life prior to retirement.

And have provided links for many of my articles, but I guess you also missed those, along with this other information I also have previously provided.

And can only imagine....just what is the going rate for treason, Ms. Starling, per hour - or per word?

And just how much are you paid for some of those ludicrously off the wall articles you write, with those liberal propaganda spins, anyway?
Reply By Ross1776 Ross1776 | 2 months ago
And ma'am, with your fabrications over the global warming garbage, I think as far as "credible sources" since as I said my father was and has a degree in both Chemistry, and Wood Technology. Where, might I ask, do you get yours?
Reply By Ross1776 Ross1776 | 2 months ago
You can do the research online yourself. Since the information on the Merida Accord is readily available, and also the articles on the "new" agents and technology which DHS is training them, and from where they got those new gadgets.

And I am a 45 year border resident, so well versed in what has transpired in this, so writing also from experience with this issue living on the front lines with it. And also as a victim of it.

So where do you get your expertise?

Since you apparently are from liberal Oregon, are you perhaps an ex-Microsoft or current Microsoft employee, and thus a recipient of those taxpayer grants indirectly?
Posted By Ross1776 Ross1776 | 2 months ago
Sorry, I meant Washington State. Fairly same large industries, political complement and businesses. So are you a intel employee or on the taxpayer paid gravy train that provided those gadgets to Mexico at the taxpayer's expense?

The industry also somewhat behind the continuing War in Iraq, then, as it were, for their continued profit margins?
Posted By ahol888 ahol888 | 2 months ago
Mexico and Canada made immense gains because of NAFTA at the expense of the USA. NAFTA puts a limit on how much profit the US can make in dealing with Mexico and Canada. Everything will continue to be outsourced. Chill with the comments Ross1776, your reward points skyrocketed after you placed all of these comments.
Reply By Ross1776 Ross1776 | 2 months ago
I don't know what you are referring to. I'm on on any "rewards" program that I am aware of at all. I didn't sign up for anything other than registering and writing. So haven't a clue what you are speaking about....

And have other priorities and issues right now of a personal nature, especially the safety of those friends and family members still in Arizona, and living under really war zone conditions in the actual City of Phoenix - since that is really where most of the problem is.

And a lost is also due to the California and "northern" retirees that retired there, and think the desert is like Illinois...or the State of Washington.

Which is why the sovereign states had precedence over the federal on many issues. Since they are regional, and not national.

And health care and its provisions, since the insurers are incorporated at the state level, is a state issue fundamentally, not a federal one at all.

Except to regulate Zurich and those foreigner global companies that want the business and Americans money and the market, especially since the "globalists" in Washington have progressively had such a hands off attitude which is what has brought us to where we are today.

But what "gravy traing" member industry do you work for, might I ask?

Ross, we liberal silicon valley weenies invented THE INTERNET that you use to spout your divine insight gained from years of wal-mart experience, and general arizona redneckery.

very smart people at the evil socialist enclaves of stanford, harvard, and MIT were busy inventing the means for you to express yourself freely using networked computers while you were busy greeting people at the door and watching your father saw wood.

The site providing you a platform for your ignorant ravings, allvoices.com, IS BASED IN SAN FRANCISCO!! i suggest you stop posting before you are infected thru the phone lines by some sort of evil liberal swine flu!!
Reply By Ross1776 Ross1776 | 2 months ago
No, you didn't invent it at all. Bill Gates invented the personal computer after developing his Windows operating system.

But computers have been around much longer that that. Just how old are you anyway? Since computers existed my entier life, and Honeywell whose plant has been in Arizona for literally decades, was one of the first that was involved.

So just how old are you? Since Silicon Valley took advantage of that emerging industry, but certainly didn't invent it, and does mainly make the chips in most of its focus.

And there were other ways of communicating with others publicly before the internet. I do see to remember a man by the name of Poor Richard who got the word out, even without computers.

And after all, did create the most unique government anywhere that recognizings all citizens rights. And since there are many that are against this health care provision, who pretty much are in the majority at this point due to the focus and direction, and who it was who were actually consulted, after all, which was the industries. I would say recognizing that mandating such a law on those that object for whatever reason, be they religious or otherwise, is outside governmental authority.

Since we are talking about a service and product, or "commerce," and their job is not to tax citizens for that service mandatorily, but regulate those industries in order to protect the public from "corporate abuse."

Such as ganging up and bullying appears to be a liberal tool and method used quite frequently......and the founders would be calling for the noose right about now on every single one of them.

No matter which "party" they come from....since parties actually died with the ratification. They and the states and citizens in those states agreed, and that settled the "differences" between those information political parties.

And Washington made a whole speech about political parties and the danger those would be to our government.

You ought to read it sometime.

Stillthinking, good point.

If ross1776 is a "constitutional law scholar" as he claims on his profile, than there must be pigs flying around somewhere!
Reply By Ross1776 Ross1776 | 2 months ago
Are pigs also one of your protected wildlife you are concerned with. Since my ex-in laws were farmers in Nebraska and raised them, and sure they worked harder for their money and livliehoods - and at that time didn't even get social security, since even with a sixth grade education, that farmer could do math in his head it would take kids three sheets of paper, and a calculator to perform.

And you might try reading the Preamble also with respect to America and the Bill of Rights.

Since it appears you haven't pulled it out lately, it does clearly state:

"We the people of the United States.....FOR US AND OUR POSTERITY.

And there are, after all, no Bill of Rights for Americans in Mexico. I guarantee you. I could tell you a few stories about people in Arizona that were incarcerated there for traffic violations, and then their parents charged monthly fees for twenty minute visits under the federales felt they had made enough profit.

So wake up, ma'am, because you obviously don't know a tinker's dam about either science, or our form of government, that's for sure.

Especially not forestry as it pertains to the environment, or this global warming scam.

Since California appears to be buring their forests down for those FEMA grant monies, is all I can figure. Since as I said, I lived in the West all my life, and the locals had some of those fires controlled within hours or days WITHOUT CHEMICALS.

So I'm sure with the California "bankruptcy" quite a few are getting creative in their methods in trying to get some more.

But you've got your "hood" here backing you us, Ms. Starling, but most see Obama, and his "liberal" agendas for what they are.

Merely extensions of Bush II liberalism, and is no Constitutional lawyer, of that almost all Americans (with the exception of the vocal few that post on sites such as these) are now well aware.
Reply By Ross1776 Ross1776 | 2 months ago
And it it is "she" by the way...
Reply By Ross1776 Ross1776 | 2 months ago
And no wonder people are leaving the West Coast states in droves. Maybe that it the agenda. Pretty soon all of us that have now been displaced will be living in Mexico.

And as one with a child that is HIV positive, you are one of the most bitter and cruel individuals, ma'am, I have ever met.

And also as a three time victim of illegal immigrant theft, and watching my fellow Arizonans be made homeless and jobless in the process, and now dying since Phoenix has gained the label as "kidnapping capital of the world," you in your little Seattle home with your birds and dogs don't have to worry.

We won't be moving into your neighborhood. Since, after all, we couldn't qualify.

You truly are a piece of work, Ms. Starling, truly...
Reply By Ross1776 Ross1776 | 2 months ago
And, Ms. Starling, other than ask your qualifications and background actually, which I have provided both to you and also several times in the basis of my legal and opinion pieces, do you actually not see truly what a hypocrite you actually are?
Reply By Ross1776 Ross1776 | 2 months ago
Instead of doing the "calling in the troops," move of the other paid spinners on here. Since it is clear there is a bucketload of them, that's for sure.
Reply By Ross1776 Ross1776 | 2 months ago
Do you know what a "Republic" actually is, and just what was the very simple reason the states united in the first place.

Common defens, common currency, and oversight of foreign trade and movement between the states. That was and really is there sole function.

It's all in there in black and white.

You ought to read it sometime.
Reply By Ross1776 Ross1776 | 2 months ago
Yes, I am. Please tell me where in the Constitution "mandated" health care is a federal duty either to provide, or demand the citizens to purchase.

Just where is that, Ms. Starling?

Wait are you saying that U.S. weaponry, including the Blackhawk and the equiptment used at the Border and in Iraq and Afghanistan is produced in the Silicon Valley?

If you, I'm sorry that is just ridiculous. You really have gone bonkers in your perception of American issues.

So first you want the border to be more secure, but you don't want Mexico to have technology that will help us achieve that goal. I'm sure I'm reading that wrong, maybe you just want Mexico to pay for something it has no interest or capability to do.

And I would see the fact that the US got Mexico to protect its side of teh border better by buying technology from American companies as a good thing. And just so they couldn't get out of it by saying "well we just can't afford that" we told them that we'll give them a loan to partially pay for these things. They buy equiptment that costs miilions of dollars, they buy it with money we loan them. We make money from taxes from purchases of the equiptment and we make money on the loan we gave them, from interest.

We make money and we get them to secure the border better. Why the outrage? Or did I miss something important in your article?

I don't know anything about the new eqiuptment that the border control people are using in Mexico now, but I do know that the company that makes the UH-60 (Blackhawk) is based in Conneticut and New York. It's name is Sikorsky.

It uses parts from General Electric, also located in Conneticut.
Posted By stillthinking stillthinking | 2 months ago
amalgam, you forget that conneticut, new york, and the entire northeastern seaboard are all part of the evil socialist conspiracy. they ARE democrats after all. the only appropriate border defense is right wing militia minuteman groups. this way we can be sure that the tree of liberty is properly watered.
