Remember Disney's ""Pirates of the Caribbean" movie sereis? If you thought it was over, think again.
On Friday, September 11, 2009, Johnny Depp, dressed as Capt. Jack Sparrow to announced the latest installment of the "Pirates" movies. This one would be called "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides." He stayed in character while on the stage as he sailed in front of the audience on a pirate ship.
Walt Disney Studios Chairman Dick Cook also announced that Depp would play Tonto in "The Lone Ranger". He said that it would be an "upcoming big-screen adaptation." Now Tonto was a Native American in the radio and television series. He was that in the last movies about the Lone Ranger. Will he still be or will it make a difference? Could this be another performance that would be cheered as Robert Downey Jr.'s portrayal of an African American man was in "Tropic Thunder"?
