He dared to talk about hunger

He is a 48-year old Cuban named Juan Carlos Gonzalez Marcos who dared to talk to the media about hunger in Cuba. He has been branded as a ‘social danger’ and sentenced to imprisonment for two years. He cannot appeal against the sentence and has to spend the time in Havana. The incident is of July when he interrupted the taping of a documentary on urban music to shout ‘there is hunger here, what we need is food’. The incident gained prominence when it was posted on the YouTube and the word spread like wildfire. This led to his arrest in August and the sentence has now been passed.
