Robots to help out in the kitchen would not happen tomorrow – but, little Vickie of the Small Wonder fame can certainly become a reality. Welcome the robot that can take its own decisions based on the inputs. It would not just follow preprogrammed activities but would modify them depending on the changed situations. Then only would it decide on the action to be taken. The robot is christened as the iCub and six models are currently in operation on an experiential basis in six locations of Europe. Each robot is about one meter in height, has two arms, a roundish face with large eyes and a nose. The eyes follow any object that is in motion.
