The Ministry of Religious Affairs here on Tuesday finalised a three-night ‘Mehfil-e-Shabeena,’ nightlong recitation of the Holy Qur’aan, starting from Ramazan 27 to 29 (September 18 to 20) at Faisal Mosque.
The ministry has selected 13 ‘Huffaz’ from across the country for recitation of Holy Qur’aan in ‘Mehfil-e-Shabeena.’ These ‘Huffaz’ will recite 10 Paras (chapters) of the Holy Qur’aan every night in ‘Traveeh’ prayers. The time of ‘Isha’ prayer and ‘Traveeh’ prayers at Faisal Mosque is 9:15 pm and 9:30 pm respectively. Regional Transport Authority Islamabad and Rawalpindi would ensure provision of sufficient number of buses, mini buses on Rawalpindi-Faisal Mosque route and in various sectors of Islamabad to the venue to facilitate the people.
Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences in collaboration with ‘Dawah ‘Academy would set up a dispensary to provide medical facilities to faithfuls. Besides, necessary security and parking arrangements have been made for VIPs and other participants.
The ‘Mehfil-e-Shabeena’ is observed as an official function throughout the country during the last three days of Ramazan, while official TV, radio as well as some private channels directly telecast the prayers from mosques of big cities including Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi and Quetta.
