Yes! I said it! Finally I can actually praise Michael Vick for going to the Nueva Esperanza Academy in Philly to urge students there to make the right choices and resist temptation not to follow the crowd!

He says peer pressure from his friends lead to his orginazation of a dog fighting ring. He was convicted in August 2007. Released on July 20 2009.

All hail Michael Vick for doing the "right" thing for once!

Well it's good to hear that he's sharing his mistakes and experiences with younger people, and encouraging them to make the right choices. I don't know if it was peer pressure that led to his dog fighting hobby, but peer pressure is probably something a lot of kids have to deal with.

That's what he told the kids. He said he let other friends talk him into doing things he knew would or could jeopardize his career. He advised them not to be swayed so easily.

I need to recant. Royals are playing Detroit Tigers tonight at Koffman Stadium in KC.

Well good for Vick. He still got a long way to go, but this is a good start for him. Thing is, for people that got money like Vick use to have, think it's the end of all their problems, and if their not careful, it's really the beginning of them all. Peer pressure is something everybody goes through in their lif, but Vick got power and influence over his entourage and friends, that if he said stop, they would have stop. Good start Vick. Keep it up.

Really, you'd think so wouldn't you! He should be the leader, sort of, and they should be following him and listening to him, not the other way around. He has a mind of his own and should have known better!
