As if to put an exclamation point on the mainstream media’s not so subtle, cozy relationship with the Obama administration, none of the so-called media even bothered to cover the brewing controversy surrounding the now departed Van Jones. Despite ample evidence of Van Jones spewing highly inflammatory language on numerous excerpts of his speeches, the media some how did not find this issue worthy of curious inquiry, let alone journalistic investigation.
The real test for the mainstream media will be what, if any, follow-up they will conduct on this story as there are many questions that need to be asked of the administration including: How did Van Jones get through the administration’s vetting process, or did the administration know and look the other way? What about Special Adviser to the President, Valerie Jarretts’ full-throated endorsement of Van Jones just a few months ago in which she indicated the administration were looking at Van Jones’s work for a long time and were happy to recruit him? What about the vetting of the other 30 plus czars? What are these czars responsibilities, pay grades, policy making input? Will the administration cooperate with the Congress on possible hearings concerning the Constitutional legality of these czars?
For the record, Fox News, led by Glenn Beck, was the only media outlet to give any credence to this story and undoubtedly played a significant part in forcing the Van Jones resignation.
