Consequent to the landmark judgment of giving legal sanction to gay and lesbian relationships the large cities like New Delhi are feeling the after effects. This is now boom time for private detectives – their business has seen an unprecedented spurt. Parents are nowadays handing over the task to them for going into the private lives of their school going children to know in advance their sexual preferences. The investigation includes would-be brides and grooms as well. Obviously, the parents are apprehensive of the leanings of their children and do not want to suffer shocks at sudden disclosures. The agencies charge anything from Rs 20,000 to Rs 80,000 depending on the intricacies of the case.

    Wow, sad they think they need to do that to their children. What can they do if they are gay? Not a whole lot. We need to love and accept our children no matter what.
