The St John River flows through the heart of the city. Listen to its waves and you will listen to the tales of the French and Spanish settlers of the old days. Jacksonville contains the Trout River in full and this river is the most important tributary of the St. John River. Jacksonville Beaches have great reputation. The hot and humid climate of this city reminds the sub-tropical Kolkata of West Bengal in India.

This region has long been the choice of the film-makers because of its favorable climate, location, transport facilities and smooth supply of dependable labor forces. This city has earned such a good name before the growth of Hollywood. Jacksonville has been titled as the “Winter Film Capital of the World”.

The ten-minute journey from Convention Center to Hemming Park by Skyway monorail will help you having an overall view of the city. Jacksonville Princess is a great resort where you will meet nice kind of employees who will greet you with nicer dishes.

You can hire a canoe at Huguenot Memorial Park and sail through a comfortable afternoon to have more fun. Huguenot Memorial Park is famous as an avian observatory tower. Yes, this is a favorite spot for the watchers of the birds. But you can spend some hours in the chartered Annabelle Lee River Boat which regularly moves towards St Johns River. A trip in the Anna belle Lee River Boat may be an affair to remember for anybody.

Jacksonville is famous for number of museums. Marks of wonder are spread over Jacksonville’s museums. Jacksonville Maritime Museum, Museum of Science and History, Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art and Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens are treasures of the city.
