BRUNSWICK, GA - Guy Heinze, Jr., called 911 on August 29th and said "My whole family's dead!" Now he's being charged with slaughtering his whole family inside their mobile home where he lived.
Originally, Heinze, 22, was arrested on drug possession and tampering with evidence, which is not a good sign. He was out on bond. Friday, he was arrested again on eight counts of first-degree murder in the killing of seven family members and one other person.
He told the emergency dispatchers in the call, he'd come home to find the bodies and it appeared the victims had all been beaten to death. Seven people were found dead, an eighth died at the hospital. The only survivor still remains in critical condition at a Georgia hospital. The police still have not released the cause of death for the victims.
Among the victims murdered are the suspects father, Guy Heinze Sr., 45, his aunt Brenda Falagan, 49, his uncle, Rusty Toler Sr., 44, Toler Sr's, four children, Chrissy Toler, 22, Russell Toler, Jr, 20, Michael Toler, 19, and Michelle Toler, 15. Chrissy Toler's boyfriend, Joseph West, 30, was also among the dead.
Clint Rowe, an uncle to the Toler children and spokesman for the family said, "I'm floored right now, but right now it's just an arrest. We have to see where this thing takes us so I'm going to keep my mouth shut until the Glynn County Police Department informs us of more."
The manager of the New Hope Plantation mobile home park where this mass murder occurred said there are still a lot of unanswered questions that have people in the community concerned. People are wondering if there is more than one person involved, or if Heinze killed all eight people by himself.
One thing is for sure, the people in this town aren't going to rest until they have all the answers and know the truth.
