Stop Greenland from Slaughtering 50 Humpback Whales!!

STOP THE KILLING!

Whatever you are doing right now, please stop for just a minute. I need your total focus and attention – for the whales. Please stop for a few moments and listen to what is going on, behind the scenes, where few people’s attention is focused.

At the current International Whale Commission meeting in Portugal, Denmark has asked for Greenland to hunt and kill 50 humpback whales. Sweden is supporting their request to allow the senseless, cruel slaughter of ifty more whales!! Isn’t it enough that they keep beaching themselves en masse, from the sonic torture in their habitats and other alterations man is rendering to their eco-sytems?

Hardy Jones, of Bluevoice.org is calling for help. We need immense social outcry to stop Denmark (and the countries that will follow their lead!) from killing these great and beautiful creatures. Humpbacks are slow swimmers, easy to hunt. Their populations are just rebuilding after remorseless hunting. The targeted humpbacks are well known and loved by populations along the eastern seaboard of the United States and Canada and admired and respected by people around the world. He is asking you to please take action by writing to this misguided ‘leader’ URGENTLY and expressing your absolute protest against killing any more whales:

Dear Prime Minister,

I protest in the strongest terms Denmark's support of the slaughter of fifty humpbacks from the Northeast Atlantic stock. Humpbacks are loved and respected by many around the world. Your actions are unthinkable. When making travel plans I shall remember your efforts to kill these highly intelligent, social and endangered animals and I will do everything in my power to help others, who are still unaware of your intentions, to join my protest against this inhumane and unnecessary slaughter.

Thank you for taking a moment to make a difference! Americans MUST begin to protest LOUDLY about the injustices the seem to be occurring across the board. Especially where the environment is concerned, we are pushing things towards critical mass and at this point it may well be too late to turn the tide. The damage to the Earth is far greater than what mas media is letting on and anything they do to help always seem to be geared towards "profit" or cutting corners on the clean-up because it costs too much. We've treated the planet as though resources were infinite with absolutely no respect for nature. Industry has left America to go overseas to third world countries and turn the wilderness into toxic waste dumps thereby polluting waterways while restricting access to clean drinking and bathing water. In many cases the poor have no choice but to co-exist in a world of our toxic waste. In addition the Pacific Ocean has a waste dump the sized of Texas and growing. There's not a species of fish left on Earth that's safe to eat, free from mercury, pcb's and a litany of toxins to numerous to list - none of which are being measured in the food chain except for mercury. Anyone who eats fish meeds tp go to www.gotmercury.org for information on mercury levels in your favorite seafood - if it's tuna or anything that lives and eats on the ocian floor like lobster, crab and shrimp STOP NOW! This site has a calculator to help measure how much mercury you take in on average week.You might as well forget mercury and pcbs, that's childsplay! I know for a fact the US Navy was dumping radioactive active waste illegally within 20 miles of the shore along the East Coast of Georgia and So Carolina in the 1980's. A close friend was stationed on a battleship sending me letters how shocked and absolutely horrified she was that the US Navy was blatantly violating US and international environmental laws. The atmosphere surrounding the planet is laced with countless toxins from air pollution that comes down in the form of rain polluting lakes, rivers, steams and oceans worldwide. Which means all fish, everywhere worldwide is contaminated with mercury and a whole host of toxins that aren't even being measured to determine toxicity levels. Except for mercury, which is lethal enough to keep me away from fish - which is my favorite meat dish. I used to eat salmon 3-4 times a week, now once every 3-4 months at best.Thank you for speaking up! The time for lolly-gagging around in our own little worlds is over, if we don't pay attention and begin participating to create a better world we're going to end up with a one world government fashioned by the Dark Cabal on a dead planet. It's time to grab our pitchforks and march town hall to demand the change Obama promised!
