According to the U.K.newspaper, Financial Times,a cargo of weapons bound for Iran was seized in U.A.E. waters by the naval authorities there. The U.N.authorities responsible for carrying out sanctions on Pyongyang were informed about the incident on Friday. It is believed that the action was carried out a few weeks ago. Besides other weapons the cargo consisted of rocket-propelled grenades. The items were falsely labelled as 'machine -parts'. It may be recalled that the U.N. had placed sanctions and they had been approved after North Korea had carried out nuclear and missile tests in mid-June this year.

If they were meant for Iran, it means Mahmoud Amadinejad and the regimemust have paid Kim Jong Il for all that garbage so they could start a war and murder the Iranian people. At this time, I'm reading the Alexander the Great Biography. Interesting thing the author had to say about Darius 3. When Alexander came to Iran, Darius escaped on a horse leaving his chariot, tent and all his gold for Alexander to take but inthe city itself, the people wanted freedom from oppression, democracy so they got themselves armed and murdered all the King's hirearchy andleft the capitol open for Alexander to take possession of. The Iranianpeople should arm themselves and kill Ahmadinejad and the regime the same way, knives, swords, pitchforks, axes, any sharp objects and makesure to strike and make a death blow. Let the regime's blood flow as it was done then and let the people go. 29/8/2009.

Hi Fauzia mllovric you just made me think! My first thought when I heard this yesterday was how could Kim be so stupid when he supposedly was working to make closer relations with the US. You could be right about that but Iran usually gets those things from Russia and China but seeing your comment made me wonder if that stuff was meant for the opposition? You know they are going to need weapons, I wonder!

Hi Jim. Do you really think the weapons seized were meant to bog down the opposition?Or could have been for their own self-defense.But the important point is that they did not reach their destination.

What's with North Korea? Are they out of their minds? There's no sense in creating nuclear weapons. It'll just create panic and horror..

There is a big spectrum when one says 'weapon'. A knife or a bayonet can be a weapon and nuclear missile warhead can also be a weapon.Rocket propelled grenades are very simple weaponry used in armed forces.Lately I am seeing incomplete reporting (undefined or details intentionally left out). Unless I know what they were in detail, I will reserve my comments. One philosophical thought though... did you ever wonder who is stopping others going nuclear... those who already have a nuclear arsenal and looking ways to improve on them by increasing destruction with smaller size/numbers... just think.
