DJ AM Found Dead in His Home

Today marks the day when another celebrity's life is ended way to early due to prescription drugs. First it was Michael JacksonMichael Jackson and now DJ AM, one of the most sought-after disc jockey's in all the music world was found dead in his New York apartment. Police received a phone call from a concerned neighbor when they had reported not seeing the DJ for several days. Police arrived at the scene where they broke down the door, only to find the music sensation dead on his floor.

Police are reporting that they do not believe any foul play was involved in the case, but an official announcement to the cause of death will not be released until after the autopsy is finished. DJ AM has had a history of drug addiction to cocaine, ecstasy and other higher level drugs, but friends believed he had been drug free for a significant period of time. Adam Goldstein (DJ AM) was 36 years old and was also famous for his relationships with music superstar Mandy MooreMandy Moore and reality television's Nicole RichieNicole Richie. He was also part of a famous plane crash that killed 4 people, leaving him and Bink 182 drummer Travis Barker with severe burn injuries.

DJ AM was one of the most respected and talented DJ's out there. He was looked up to by apsiring artists and loved by those who knew him. DJ AM will be severely missed by the entire music world and our hearts and thoughts go out to his friends and family. Its getting extremely sad that prescription drugs are claiming so many lives these past few months. Lets hope something can be done to reduce the amount of prescription that are out there on the streets.
