Khyber Welfare Home Managed Seminar on Children Rights in Tribal Area

The Khyber Welfare Home (NGO) organized one day seminar on child rights was held in Madina Model School at Landi Kotal (Khyber agency) the local elders various private and government schools teachers participated in activity. The program was properly started by recited of Holy Quran. The KWH Chairman Khalil khan stress on child rights deliver a massage to the various school principals and local elders to reduce physical punishment and emotional torture to increase students’ enrolment in the educational institutes. The KWH religious scholar Qari Iftikhar described the importance of education in the light of Quran with the view to reduce corporal punishment in Homes, Schools, Hotels and other public places especially in Madrasas (religious institutes) The KWH social Moblizer Dawar khan told the students about child rights convention (CRC) convention and its articles. "We all community including Journalists, teachers, parents, elders must give rights to children and struggle for their rights on different platform added by Dawar Khan. The school teachers demanded to be provide training facilities so they can adopt new methods regarding treatment of children in educational institutions. The KWH also arranged debate competition. The local elders stressed children to be treated softly. At the end of seminar KWH Chairman Khalil Khan distributed prizes among school position holders, speech position holders and to the school teachers.
