Terrorist apprehended in Ludhiana

He had arrived at Ludhiana by the Jhelum Express from Manmad. When the RPF of the Narcotics cell wanted to check his baggage, he tried to run away. He hid under the bogies of the train and began shooting – one vendor was killed on the railway platform and a couple of security men injured in the encounter. The man was accompanied by a woman and the police have taken both into custody. He hails from Ferozepur and is a known offender with an earlier case of recovery of arms and ammunition in Jalandhar three years back.
