Singtel Launches “Nokia 6710 Navigator”

Nokia and SingTel jointly announce the launch of Nokia’s new navigation champion, the Nokia 6710 exclusive to SingTel on 22 August.A range of attractive services await SingTel mobile customers who purchase a Nokia 6710. In conjunction with the 2009 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix, the phone will be preloaded with a mobile racing application, he SingTel Race Mobile Guide. Racing fans can receive the latest news highlights, read about their favorite 2009 ingTel Grid Girls, and easily locate race events using Nokia Maps.The Nokia 6710 will come with Walk and Drive Navigation’ (device lifetime license coverage for Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand), City Explorer (2 year license) on All Region, and for the first time on a mobile device, real time Traffic Information service (2 year license). With the City Explorer, consumers get access to maps plus a host of relevant and useful travel information on the location, event happenings and weather updates no matter where they are in the world. Using Traffic Information consumers will not only receive up-to-date traffic information, but the Nokia Navigation solution will also guide them around any traffic congestion. The sales package will also include a 2 GB microSD card bundle pre-loaded with Map data of SEAP (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, New Zealand and Australia).Customers will also enjoy six months’ free subscription to SingTel Locator, a location-based service allowing them to know the whereabouts of their loved ones. In addition, customers who sign up for a 3G Flexi plan will enjoy free unlimited local data for three months to explore the navigation features on the powerful Nokia 6710 handset with peace of mind.To complement the impressive mapping capabilities, the Nokia 6710 Navigator offers an improved design from its predecessors with a slightly curved shape, providing a pleasant feel with a soft touch surface. The device also has a 5 megapixel camera, with standard with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash on board to help you store those wonderful memories along the way.
