Fortune favors the lucky
This is a case of dream that turned into reality. All of us nurse hopes of winning a jackpot in a lottery – well, here is a person who did just that. He travelled from Napier to Wellington where he purchased a $5 ticket of ‘Road Trip’. On that he won $6 – a profit of $1!!! Encouraged, he cashed the ticket and thought of trying his luck at one of the Lotto outlets. He purchased one more ‘Road Trip’ ticket. When he returned home and scratched the reverse of the ticket, he discovered that he had won a jackpot of $250,000 – to be paid out in five equal installments over a period of five years. He went to the offices of the Lotto to confirm that he had indeed won the jackpot. He is now a much relieved man.
