PS3 new slim design, cuts cost.
Sony Entertainment just announced that the PS3 console will be cutting the retail price to $299 US
Sony made the announcement at a press conference in Cologne, just before the 2009 games convention - Games Com. It also announced it was ending production of its current PlayStation 3 console in favor of a new slimmer model with a 120GB hard drive.
Growth of the PlayStation 3 has been slow compared to previous launches, mainly because of an expensive price tag compared to rival, Microsoft's Xbox 360 at £149 and the Nintendo Wii at £169.
Works of a new motion controller is in the making...also including a BBC iPlayer, and a digital reader called Digital Comics in high-def, allowing readers to read graphic novels and DC comics.
