An American man, who was given a 7 year jail term including 4 year hard labour on the charge of swimming to Aung Sann Suu Kyi's lakeside home, where she has been under house for the last 14 years, has flown to the USA with Senator Jim Webb.
Senator Webb met the Burma's dictator Than Shwe and secured his release while Aung Sann Suu Kyi is still under house arrest and she will not be released until the so called election to be held in May next year.
The US citizen John Yettaw had lived two days in Suu Kyi's home in Rangoon. The motive of his entry into her home is not clear. However, he has said that he had dreamt that she was going to be killed so he wanted to warn her about this.
Suu Kyi had won the election in 1990 after Burma which is now known as Myanmar was freed for a few months from the autocratic regime of Communists since 1962.
But the junta, who are the other sides of the coin , refused to handover power to Suu Kyi and suppressed people killing thousands of democrats and innocents monks.
Suu Kyi received Nobel Prize in Peace and the matter discussed during the Webb's meeting with her is not disclosed.
