Fearing that the rapid spread of H1N1 flu might turn into an epidemic, the Maharashtra government has closed down all schools, colleges, cinema halls and malls from Monday. Initially the order will stay for a week for schools and three days for cinema halls but if situation worsens, the time period of shut down will be increased. Meanwhile another Delhi school has been shut when one a student for detected ‘positive’.

H1N1 patients have been growing in number daily. Closure of schools, colleges and other public places is not the answer. Still it is better. In the state of West Bengal there is endless lack of sincerity in the administration.H1N1 has its source in the soil of any foreign country. We should have taken prompt action in respect of the persons who come from abroad at that time.
