Currently, Georgia State Law prohibits persons convicted of any sexual offense to work within 1000 feet of churches, schools, parks, pools and daycare centers. Recently, an unnamed sex offender was forced to resign from his job due to its close proximity to a church. Consequently, this individual was unable to pay his rent. He is now homeless. Thanks to the effects of Georgia State Law, the whereabouts of this sex offender are unknown. How safe are our children tonight? Put that on your Sonny Due list.
