Samsung recently launched an eco friendly 3G messaging phone on sprints network with the name of reclaim. The charger is star energy certified and the phone comes in earth green and ocean blue. The material used in it is 80 percent recyclable, the plastic is made with the help of corn. They did not even print any manuals or guides, everything is onlinne to save paper and ink!. It is a good eco friendly start but do not forget, it has been manufactured in a factory so in later years it will be great if we see some eco friendly manufacturing !! :)

mona37, Thank you for reminding us that "less is more" and the positive aspects beyond the phone's basic features. It is refreshing to see a major manufacturer is starting to use recycled and natural ingredients that are environmentally friendly, cost effective, and less toxic to all of us that have to hold these phones so close to our faces!

Hi mona!
I think you know my attitude by now so I will just shut up! I took a second to come by as one of my sons just left and I have been busy with the 3 in the military so I wanted to thank you and everybody for coming around. I want to start getting around more and will ASAP!

They now have eco friendly coffins. Where to get one? Go to Australia and you can get recyclable coffins made from wastepaper and cardboard. They give you the lid and all. You may buy a coffin, pack it in your luggage and take it home with you folded up. Keep it at home stored away
in a cupboard or something, and the next time someone dies, unpack your coffin and inter the dead person into the grave with it. The coffin will decompose in a few days and it's cheaper than wood. So next time you need a coffin think of environmentally friendly. 11/8/2009.

Eco friendly phones 80 percent recyclable, why not 100 percent? What will
happen to the other 20 percent of non recyclable part of it, is it going to be land filled? 18/10/2009.
