Sam ,The Famous Koala Bear Saved From Wild Fires In February , Dies Now.

According to MNSBC NEWS the lovable koala bear that had won the hearts of millions after being saved in Australia's bush fire died due to surgery.She was being operated upon to save her from a life-threatening illness.

It was stated that the 4-year old koala, Sam had developed cysts that were related to urogenital chlamydias, a disease that attacks 50% of the koalas in Australia.During her operation the disease was found to be in the advanced stage so it was decided to put her to sleep and end her misery.

There was a shadow of gloom when her death was announced by the people who had looked after her in a shelter since the fire .She was saved by a fireman who had offered her his water bottle as she was very thirsty.

The Prime Minister, of Australia, Kevin RuddKevin Rudd also announced on T.V. how Sam had been a symbol of hope for the Australian nation during the bush fires which she had survived.
