Voters Changing Mind About Obama

Washington : DC : USA | 3 months ago
Views: 30

As we go on to President Obama's eighth month in office, voters are beginning to question what they voted for.

Chris Ann Cleland, a Prince William County real estate agent, stated for the Washington Post that "Nothing's changed for the common guy. I feel like I've been punked."

Homes are being foreclosed on still leaving families homeless. There are no jobs to find and banks who received help from the Federal Government are still acting like they are broke. It is feared that the middle class will feel the brunt of all of it.

Many question what the Governor candidate, R. Creigh Deeds, will be pushing if voted as Governor of Virgina. Thursday, President Obama will be speaking at a fundraiser for him but what will this say for his policies and views. Will they be distanced from Obama or will they be the same?

President Obama can't fix overnight what has transpired over the past several years to create this mess. People are too quick to judge and criticize. Nor do they seem to understand that the office of President CANNOT make laws only suggest and sign those he wants. Congress makes the laws, but only after they have taken care of their own wants (like more money).

    Sherrill and Bethany,
Unfortunately the nation is impatient. Some of FDR's policies came through way after his presidency. When will people learn to be patient?
    Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
