The Loss Of Nature

Dana Point : CA : USA | 4 months ago

I went to the beach today, bathing suit top on, innappropriately chosen footware, one million acres of sand, ten billion gallons of saltwater, and ten thousand pounds of FAT.

Me, my boyfriend, and his buddy (a life guard) Raheed were on our way to the beach. Me and Cody (my boyfriend) had alterrior motives, as did Raheed--he wanted to drop of a lunch to his brother (another lifeguard)--but all of us shared that one small common goal in, at least, a small part of our hearts: to go to the beach and experience the beauty of nature.

We were only temporarily dettered by friends around the beach, welcomed warm sun on our shoulders and under our feet, but our mission was to make it--if at all possible--to a secluded area of the beach. Every grain of sand was bathed in sunlight...but perhaps too much.

The sunlight here meant that you had to bring food, or bail sometime after noon to sustenence back home, which would be the natural way to do things, like our animal predecessors.

But here in Orange County, the Ritz Carlton has an outlined space consisting of three hundred yards of an outlined "area" seperated then, into four squares, on a certain area of sand, just past the main parking area.

Most families on a day such as today, a Saturday in Sunny SoCal, would break out their wagons, and home barbeques, to get a delicious beach bbq going, these peole could pay to have someone else drive them down to a resort porch on the beach with all matching towels, chairs, and umbrellas--not to mention in a certain, specific area of the beach! God forbid we take steps out side of our comfort zone and experience reality when we can just huddle together SAFELY.

Not to mention the to-die-for-California-cliff-country-beachside scenery is ruined by huge boxes precariously placed on skinny stilts, all which are made out of (ironically) glass.

So I suppose it shouldn't be I who would count on one white male caucasian republican christian man to throw stones, when I know that he lives in a GLASS HOUSE?

Well I really am hindered due to sun-damage and properly fried brain cells, but the main thing that annoyed me about the day was, when we were leaving--in need of actual sustenence in order to live, me and my friends were blocked by hundreds of latex fitted beached humans with towels, barbeques, wagons, trays, tables, etc., etc., but we aren't all playing with the same shit, we all seek to be a different group from the people around us (similar to the US->WORLD or CA->US *wink, wink*), trying to maintain a boundray of two feet on each side (LIKE SUGAR COOKIES).

We were faced with an issue: we want out, there are a bunch of families in the way.

What do we have to do? Go around, at a faster speed. YES just like on the free way, I'm passing you going 95 while you're gettin up to 55 on the on ramp. These families will go to all lengths to bring their SPOILED children to the beach, or EVEN WORSE their spoiled PARENTS to the beach, so we've got sassy old people asking questions every inch of the way too. (NO HARM TO AGE--I AGREE W/ WINE PHILOS.)

We walk on grass, or sand in between the paved path to get to the other rock because we realize it's the shorter, easier or obvious, natural (smarter) way to go, not because we're dishonoring your way--its just what we want to do. That is the one issue that White MidWest America can not get over.

The funny thing is, is that I live in a house that is a parasite upon the land I sit. I'm destroying the earth underneath me as I am typing this...millions of inscet spawn have been destroyed for me to live here, in the way of the desert, shaded, air-conditioned, and SHELTERED, and there's no other way around it than to face it, and start talking about it.
