Priorities. Are Yours in Order?

I have been noticing the patter of views on my articles. Why is it that people would rather read an article about Japan refusing to sell rape games rather than informaion on colleges and scholarships?

Is there no one looking for a higher education or help doing so?

Even if your not going to school because you already have your degree, does no one care about what laws are being passed? Hardly anyone has looked at my "Hate Crimes Bill".

I'll go ahead and admite I am getting my counts from a site that I have posted my articles on. His particular site is global so I can understand teh low numbers on the government articles.

I'm going to close with this: Does anyone have their priorities straight?

I guess we all have different priorities. I agree that I'm frustrated with what people choose to read, but I believe that's part of the "game" too. Seeing as how I did read your article about colleges & was impressed that you'd pursued the story the way you had, I'd like to say it seems your priorities are in good shape.

I find myself frustrated that so many contributers tend to mirror the media I am trying to get a break from. I am deeply saddened by some stories that happened relatively close to me in the grand scheme of things & while I will not mention the specific story as I don't care to, I find people with absolutely no connection to the story re-releasing already tired repetitions of said story. I'd rather read about something they know from their own part of the world rather than regurgitated facts that were released for shock factor as much as anything else. And I am already tired of the "teachable moment" while I applaud Mr. Obama for creative diplomacy, everyone & his mom has covered this issue now.

Thanks for reminding us to remember about the basics & maybe prioritize a bit better, have a great week end, yer pal Mel Bell.

People do have a tendency to drift toward what peaks their own interests. There just might not be anyone, these days, on these sites, who are in need of information in respect to college.

One of the reasons that people are more interested in what Japan does is because of the conflict that is on-going from WWII. And, of course, sex is always a primary attention getter, even when it's rape-related.

In closing, priorities are individual preferences and needs and goals. Just because you do not see something as a higher priority for yourself in no way means that it is not a very valid priority for someone else. Just as you should not put their priorities first, neither should they first consider yours.
