The Citizens Have Lost Control...

You know, I read mainstream news and I read alternative news. The world is a busy place and there are so many things to keep an eye on these days.

I follow the swine flu situation very closely because I have a son who is vulnerable and I intend to do my best to protect him.

As a nation, Americans have become passive and apathetic to the point that everything we value and everything we stake our indentity on as "Freedom Loving Americans" is slowly fading away and we are now at the precipice of either doing something about it, or losing it forever. It's really that simple.

What concerns me MOST about the swine flu is what concerned me most about our invasion of Iraq. The threat from the outside is being used to justify treason and tyranny on the inside.

It has been and should remain that the military does not peform civil control functions in the United States and that our police and emergency forces should be financed and trained well enough to manage any event.

Sadly the funding has gone to the military and so we've set ourselves up for martial law, armed soldiers walking around in our streets, and God knows what else.

What's worse is that Northern Command has been planning for just such an event since long before the "swine flu" scare become public earlier this year.

Every single American should be asking themselves what the implications of this "swine flu" event really are.

Will your children be forced immunized by untested and proven unsafe vaccines and will you have any control over that?

Will quarantines and martial law become a part of life in the USA?

Have the decision makers (who are also the profiteers) of this pandemic considered the law, or your best interests, or the country's best interest while planning to scare us all into submission while they reap billions of dollars in profit?

Would your well being or their profit take precedence when it comes to making such decisions? (I think after the bail-outs we all know the answer to that one).

I'm watching as bills pass that no one has read while the lobbyists celebrate our apathy. I'm watching Americans fight over which side is right and which is wrong while life-altering laws are sneaking past them at a break-neck pace.

We've lost control. The corruption in our government and industry is so pervasive that resistance at this point, might be totally futile.

I feel so sad that my children will NEVER know the America I knew - but even sadder is that they won't know the Americans I knew either.

Is this the fall of the empire?
