True Inspiration

Nick is an amazing person, he spoke twice at my school. Let me tell you, if he isn't willing to give up, and has a stronger character than most people, why is it that so many give up before the finish line? Persevere and be courageous in life! Also, pray for him, because he has it tough!

I have seen this video and I was moved to tears. Not only by Nick's story, but because it speaks to the millions out there, myself included sometimes, that need to find that inner strength and pull themselves up to keep going. So many of us take things and people for granted throughout our day. Impaired vision that once was perfect. Impaired movement when one used to move mountains. I truly believe we are born with a purpose in life. Yes, Nick has found his and it really is a better world because of it. All we have to do is find ours and not be afraid to follow that calling. Thanks for sharing this most amazing inspirational piece.

VERY WELL SAID! It is a philosophy that allows me to keep fighting to find a way to overcome both mental and physical disabilities. It has allowed me to find a way to create beautiful works of art again even though I can't afford some of the tools I need to truly paint as I did before my accident, seeking and exploring new things in the digital art world I found one little free software called Apophysis and created a new style of art I call fractal illusions. I have even found ways to adapt to painting halfway decent with a trackball though it is very tedious and takes hundreds of hours to do a full painting, I often mix the two and just blow peoples minds. Drive, determination, ingenuity, imagination are all important tools in life and combined with modern technologies I will someday be able to rebuild my life and contribute to society again through my art and hard work.

I was feeling pretty low about some nonsense that is happening in my life. A friend sent this to me. If you can watch this and still feel sorry for yourself than SHAME ON YOU. We ALL have issues. This man, no arms or legs still enjoys his life. He fishes, surfs, does pretty much everything we do...why? because he's learned the secret...never give up. Here is one of my favorite quotes, delivered by Rocky Balboa...yes, I know he is a fictional boxer, but makes the same point that this very brave man does;

I like the quote right from the start. As a man who made his share of mistakes in the past, all you can do is learn from them. You can never grow or change into someone better if you don't learn. I like this report a lot.

This is a wonderful video presentation and the lesson provided has perpetual value. Appearance of the sun removes darkness every morning and the sun needs reappearing every morning,yes, just to remove darkness. Does he fail? Does he succeed? Daily? Failure has a meaning in the lexicon and it has a local meaning. Human beings have always challenged this meaning.Thank you, eriks, for your present to us.

I have seen this video on a friend's myspace page. WOW!!! Nick is truly an inspiration! Sometimes, we think we have it soooooo bad that we want to give up on everything! We want to run away and turn in the towel.. Nick is doing everything he wants to and he's happy!! God is using him to inspire others.. Sometimes things happen in life that we think are so bad but God uses it for HIS GLORY!! God is getting the glory for this man, he's amazing! omg its an amazing story i cryed when i watshed it...if most poeple of the world was like him i'm sure that the world will be a better place to live he's so positive and dont focus about what he dont have but for him being alive is the most important thing...

Tru Support Is Hard To Find
But Easy TO Get Around...

My daughter finished her board exams last week and came home. She kept monitoring the internet but when she found the results that she failed, she just broke down and started to cry. I told her it's not the end of the world because it's not her fault that the exams were exceedingly hard.
If she needs extra money to do it I'll give it to her. She cried and cried
because she couldn't accept it. She worked so hard for five years on her
Computer and Electronics Engineering, she lost her scholarship couple of years ago because she failed her October 2008 exams. I sponsored her for the extra five months up to graduation paying 10,000.00 pesos a
month for her studies and she made it. Some of her class mates couldn't
afford the ten thousand a month because they come from poor provincial families so they dropped out of university altogether. But Gemelyn went
on to graduation and did graduate. When she suggested board registration exams, I was against it from the start. I guess I had some
kind of a premonition of disaster and I told her it was a waste of money because of all the corruption in the registration board. She has
accepted it and is now searching for a job in either computer or electronics repairs, but she's running up against a brick wall because
there's nothing that she wants. The only interview offer she received was from a call center but she refused it because it's not for her. She is still searching the Google jobs for something to do. 5/11/2009.
