It appears amid all the recent bickering and babbling back and forth between prominent figures in the American and the North Korea governments, that North Korea has indicated that it is interested in holding talks with the United States. The North Korean ambassador made clear that North Korea was never opposed to dialogue between them and the United States and there was simply a misunderstanding; but dismissed all possibilities of a return to the nuclear negotiating table involving, North and South Korea, the United States, Japan, China and Russia indicating that those talks are gone forever.
A stall in negotiations started back in April when the United Nations condemned a long-range missile launch test, despite an amid plea from North Korea claiming the launch was a satellite being sent into orbit. After a second long range missile test was conducted by North Korea, the waters between the United States and North Korea hit its boiling point. Following these events a war of words between Hilliary Clinton and prominent figures in the Korea government began to surface. Clinton claimed that North Korea had no friends left and comparing the regime in Pyongyang to "small children" looking for attention. North Korea responded by calling Clinton a "funny lady" and that "she looks like a primary schoolgirl and sometimes a pensioner going shopping".
The main reason supposedly for North Korea straying away from the six-party talks in recent weeks was that North Korea felt they were severely cheated when the other countries in the talks accused them of not implementing the terms of their disarmament for aid deal. If anything I hate to agree with Hilliary Clinton, but North Korea really is acting like a bunch of children and they need to accept responsibility and step up to the negotiating table and get a deal done. We all need to cut this mindless fighting and bickering between one another and realize this is politics not a playground fight over who gets the last piece of candy.
