United States Corruption Scandal

Last weeks news that large number of arrests have been made by the New Jersy Police in Corruption Scandal was nothing but shocking. It's a country which purports to be the savier of the world and has waged war on terror against terrorist but has failed to stop organised crime in its own territory. Instead, of branding other nations as a 'failed State' it should try to do something about its own failure. A country which has been boasting about its prosperity and success, in my opinion has definately failed.

An investigation was launched several weeks ago by the New Jersy authorities which led to several shocking discoveries. Numerous rabbis and the Mayor of New Jersey were arrested as a result of the finding of the investigation. They were arrested on criminal charges which included charges of money-laundering. In a country where the Presidents speak out against other nations of corruption and other criminal activities, one did not see this comming. One would think that this country is free of crime since it has taken upon itself the onus of saving the world from Terrorists. But that is not true. God knows what this money has been used for. What activities have been financed by this money. U.S Should start working on its own failures instead of Labeling other nations as 'Failed'. This scandal reveals, the failure of authorities. If they do not know whats happening in their own territory, then only God knows how they would know whats happening thousands of miles away.

My take on this is simple. War on terror is going nowhere. The World is definately not a safer place courtsey war on terror. The US should focus on its internal issues more rather than creating trouble for the whole of the world through this uncalled for War against Terror.
