Rockstar Games announced today that the next Grand Theft Auto IV downloadable episode will be released on Xbox Live on October 29th. Titled The Ballad of Gay Tony , the episode will also be included on a retail disc with the first DLC episode, Lost and Damned , to be released on the same day. The retail disc, Episodes from Liberty City, will not require the original GTA IV disc to play and will sell for $39.99 The Ballad of Gay Tony puts players in the role of Luis Lopez, “part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (aka ‘Gay Tony’),” Take-Two has explained. The story will revolve around nightclub life, rather than the biker gangs of Lost and Damned . If consumers choose to buy it through Xbox Live, it will cost $19.99 or 1600 Microsoft points. Take-Two president Ben Feder noted in a statement: “We're quite pleased with the download performance on the first episode. We've also seen opportunities -- and demand -- at retail. Both channels are important to us... while we're pleased with the download, we saw an opportunity to take advantage of retail as well."
