‘Amid intense heat wave when consumers of WAPDA Kohat start using air conditioners, due to overloading system fails to provide electricity,’ WAPDA Kohat official Mr. Amjid has said.

‘Widespread protest demonstration against WAPDA load shedding were held in Peshawar capital of NWFP on Friday, protestors became violent at certain places in Peshawar,’ media reports.

‘Large scale utilization of generators in shops and residences will eventually result in losses to WAPDA and private power companies, Chinese made generators are quite cheap and efficient source of electricity and if people have resorted to use solar energy plants for electricity generations in their homes, WAPDA department and its electric supply system will become obsolete soon,’ a consumer has said

    Power outages will continue in all provinces of Pakistan.There seems no relief despite the promises made to the people .Chinese power generators will definitely help to overcome the discomfort of hot summer days without electricity available for hours!

    Yes, violent means to get rid of discomfort during load shedding are futile, by using our heads we can gain comfort, solar energy and generators are good options before public during hot summers in Pakistan.

    Load shedding of electricity is very bad in the Philippines also. Than at night the local sub station starts its noisy generators and you can hear them a mile off. 20/7/2009.

    Solar energy is also a best option to avoid polluution, a journalist friend of mine in Orakzai agency has installed solar energy plant in his residence he is quite satisfied with its performance.
