    This is quite an insighful piece. But I donot understand the basis of religious segregation here. They all look Hindus by the feel of their names; is there a difference in religious sects - Brahamans etc.? Also, I would be interested (if you could help) in knowing about the status of Irfan Pathan in the League.

    Brahma (the creater god, like a magician pulls out a rabbit out of hat - created Brahmins from his mouth, Kashtriyas (fighters) from arms, Vaishyas (traders)from belly and shudras (untouchable dalits like Kambli) pooped out from his feet- Popular Hindu religious scriptures command.

    Dalits, at lowest ladder in this well defined ancient social hirarchy are meant to serve the society by performing all sorts of work considered downcast and abominable by rest of the society.

    Yes Muslims also have a system of hirarchy and Pathan belongs to influential fighter community
