6.1 intensity earthquake shakes New Ireland.

THE SCENEOF EARTHQUAKE.

In New Ireland region of Papua New Guinea, the 6.1 intensity earthquake shocks felt.

Damage from the earthquake is going to come in news yet.

At the morning local time,6 -10 AM the jolts came.

As the center of earthquake was at the Kavinj city of New Ireland .The city is 103 kilometers away.

Still there is no immediate tsunami warning has been released.

As per my knowledge,the geographical location of Papua New Guinea is,where the continental plates are meeting.So,Earthquake shocks in this region are coming very oftenly.

    A few days back (I think it was this week) , there was an earthquake of intensity 7.8 on the rector scale in Newzealand as reported by BBC. Has anyone noticed that most earthquakes come in the months of June-Oct?
