Ban Cruel Pet Devocalization

Tell me this...if your baby wakes you up in the middle of the night crying, would the thought ever cross your mind to have his vocal cords snipped? Of course not! (I hope)

Massachusetts Legislation is currently working on a bill that thankfully bans the cruel practice of pet devocalization. In the procedure, a cut to the vocal cords prevents a dog from barking. The procedure is painful, prone to infection and hemorrhaging, and frequently needs to be repeated multiple times! I'm just sick at the thought.

Listen people, if you don't like yippy dogs, get a cat. Do your homework before getting an animal and get a breed that is quieter. This one ranks way up there with horrible things to do to an animal.

Look into your state legislation and see if there is currently a ban on this practice. If there isn't, it would be awesome if you reach out to your representative and let them know you would like them to support such a bill.
