Militants are riding upon nerves of public in NWFP, a passenger sitting with me in a public transport vehicle had told me five security forces men were killed on Sunday in different areas of Kohat, while giving this information to me he was looking towards another bearded passenger sitting beside him, the moment we came down from the vehicle in Kohat bazaar area, he has said thanks God we are still alive, this bearded man was dangerous, if he would have blew himself up with explosives, we would have been dead now.

Public transport driver in Kohat district of NWFP has told me, in the morning when we come out from our homes, our families have least expectations that we will come back alive to our homes. Earlier this month top ANP ruling party leader in NWFP Bashir Khan Bilour had stated that NWFP is a war zone now. His statement came after suicide bomb attack on Pearl Continental Hotel Peshawar.

Militants in Malakand division, Waziristan, Orakzai agency, Mehmand and Khyber agency are under attack now government forces are using air power and all other means to destroy the militants hideouts in these areas to capture their leaders, last week news reports regarding Militant Commander Fazalullah that he is injured while fighting against security forces of Pakistan in Malakand division.

Government sources in NWFP have said that network of militants has been destroyed in NWFP, Malakand division is now clean and from Monday IDP’S will start going back to their homes.

Last week abducted manager of Kohat cement factory Mr. Sidiqi was released along with two other captives of OGDC, a source in Kohat cement factory on condition of anonymity has said that Manager Sidiqi was released by militants after payment of ransom. He was kept in Makeen area of Waziristan and was abducted by Baitullah Mehsood’s men, one day before his release from captivity of militants he was brought to Orakzai agency.
