Comments Related To: Marital "rape"provisions removed from new Afghan marriage law.

Brandon : Canada | 4 months ago
Sections of a new marriage law that to many observers appeared to legalise marital rape have been revised or left out. No doubt there was a great deal of pressure from outside Afghanistan...

So many views and not one comment of outrage? I'm surprised at my A.V. community! The treatment of women placed under punishment daily and being further brutalized for being kidnapped and gang raped is barbaric. Under the misinterpretation of Islam, these BEASTLY men allow their sons to gang rape and then punish the victim.

Now is the time for women to invent a bomb that when dropped the penis of a violent man drops off instantly, balls 'n all. I realize I'm adding a little humor to an anything-but-funny situation, but this is another disgusting situation at the hands of men. I am not a man-hater, there's several I love and many are good people, but I'd personally put on a uniform, and with machete in hand, start surgically removing violent penises in a movement to rebel against this, and I'm a granma!

I am SO ENCOURAGED to discover the barbaric practices under the guise of marital law has been removed from this Afghan provision! What a day of celebration for Afghan women!

Unfortunately, there are some men who would take advantage of such a "law" and abuse and debase their wife. Now, in my mind, the question remaining - "what happens when a man chooses to abuse and debase his wife?" Is there a provision in Afghan law to punish this deplorable act?

Women unite! And I agree with Aveguevara - where is the outrage? where are the comments? where is the support?

Shall we commence an outrageous outrage and stage major change? I, Ave Guevara, in the honor of he who resides within my energetic matrix, will host this. Confused? www.aveguevara.com I propose initially, that we all join at the same time everyday and use our minds to unite and project empowerment of women everywhere. It's a start, and it can be done immediately. I will sponsor on my website a communications link to keep us all united. when you visit aveguevara.com go to CONTACT or EL CHE CAFE and contact me with your interest to participate.

As I live in P.S.T., we may need two times of day for this focus. I propose one to be at six a.m. PST. I will start tomorrow morning myself. Just one or two minutes of intentional focus on women finding their empowerment in the throes of intimidation, discrimination and the daily tortures imposed upon them in all corners of this world.

    I look forward to uniting.
