Slumdog star Azharuddin Ismail new home

Director Danny Boyle came to his rescue by purchasing a brand new apartment in a Mumbai suburb for 42, 000 dollars through the Jai Ho Trust, a fund the movie''s producers set up to help care for the youngster and his co-star Rubina Ali.

lumdog Millionaire star Azharuddin Ismail has finally moved into his new home, after his shanty was demolished by Mumbai authorities.Ismail, who played the role of young Salim in the Oscar-winning film, was left homeless after his shanty was demolished by officials for being illegal.Ismail has now moved into the modern apartment complex, and says he is excited about his new home.

'We really thank the organisation because of which we have got this home, ' said Ismail's sister Pinky Shaikh.
