Singapore is a member of ASEAN, Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Singapore and China are allies and considered to be of the most powerful countries in the region. China has recently joined with ASEAN, and the incredible relationship between the two countries is serving to further create a bridge and a greater engagement on China’s Cooperation with the agreements of the various treaties and agreements put forth by the Association. The Regional Forum is dedicated to promoting and ensuring security and peace through all of Southeast Asia. And in such situations as the combined efforts necessary during times of disaster, situations regarding terrorism and national security, and ensures cooperation in issues regarding safe nuclear practices and the laws and regulations off all the countries involved. Singapore and China will join together this summer at a conference in Beijing to discuss all the issues previously stated. Singapore’s Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong expresses his joy over the cooperation and the involvement of China in the ARF. Many of the tenets of the organizations and the treaties have served to hopefully guarantee the resolution of disputes or in the different philosophies that occur from time to time between the regions and all of the countries with the South China Sea, with judicial and peaceful solutions.

And the progressive building of these relationships also serves to bring aid and alliance during times of economic crisis, ensuring that the luxury hotels of Singapore, the convention halls and the shops, and markets in all of Southeast Asia will continue to thrive. Each country supports the other. The economic success of each region is the main concern for the the Free Trade Agreements that have been initiated and practiced since 1992. Lee states that Singapore’s role for the region, being a small country among those with more geographical and financial resources, has been to be a broker, an honest and respected go between, an ambassador for all the countries involved. The creation of alliances began with Lee’s father. Previously the Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong has worked on creating alliances with the other countries during his term and continues to mentor his son on the importance of maintaining existing alliances and creating new alliances internationally. Which is a good philosophy during peaceful and economically profitable times in terms of tourism and trade, but during times when assistance is required.
