Exciting news from US Treasury

Despite the disappointing unemployment numbers published this week, things are looking up at the US Treasury. According to reports, Timothy Geithner has recently received a very exciting e-mail from a wealthy Nigerian Prince. Sources report that the Prince is offering to share a large portion of his fortune with Secretary Geithner. The Secretary was not able to release much information about the strictly confidential e-mail, but all Geithner must do is aid the Prince's attempt to transfer his fortune to America by providing a few thousand dollars to help with various transaction costs.

"For months we have been searching for viable solutions," said Secretary Geithner to a press conference Thursday morning. "None of our current policies have worked as successfully as we would had hoped, but this is a surefire way to make upwards of $20 million."

Geithner went on to say that he felt like some sort of epiphany was bound to come. "I've recently felt a surge of confidence. A few days ago as I was checking my e-mail, a link to an IQ quiz appeared at the top of my screen and, I don't want to brag, but I received a very high score."

This article didn't mention if Geithner is going to keep his job as Secretary after he recieves his gift from this Nigerian Prince. An educated man like Secretary Geithner could live out the rest ofhis days in comfort with such a windfall.I just hope he knows that a gift is only taxable after 10,000.00 dollars. It would be incredibly troubling to see him in tax trouble again.I hope he retires early with his gift.with the unemployment rate so harsh,he should step down and let another well to do,Ivy League Graduate have a place in the work force.George W's business track record in the past was ard on the guy.I would hate to think he had fallen on hard times.
