A humongous sandstorm has gone through the Middle East for more than a week now according to this link: http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20090707/sc_livescience/hugeiraqduststormseenfromspace. As you look at the slideshow photos, look at where all of the places at where this sandstorm is hitting: Iraq, Iran, and Pakistan. There is too much conflict going on in the Middle East for a sandstorm to be ripping through the area. The desertification of the Middle East is deplorable. May scientists figure out what needs to be done so that this environment may change for the better. If you have read some of my other posts, then you already know my viewpoint of why there is desertification in Middle Eastern and African countries. However, I wanted to place a post in science and technology, so for this post only, I will keep this post objective.
