I moved out of state and retired a job I had for 6 years. Now I am back in the dreadful state I vowed never to return too. ( oh boy)! That's ok. I plan on moving next summer. School and things reason for departure by the way. So "Yob" hunting has been rather trepitdious. And.

"laughs" strange. McDonalds'. Yes McD's is hiring sometimes. But seriously beware.

I walked into one Undisclosed McD's ( for the sake of there identity I choose to not disclose location). Anyhow I asked if they were hiring. Counter help behind the counter says " Hire" " Que es Hire"? Oh man I am thinking. So. I said " Are you HIRING, I need a Job.(not Yob) this time.

" Hiring"? " Yes are you hiring" panic looks. Manuel Manuel " Que es Hirig"? Oh Senora ask lets say typical hispanic name Juan... At this point I lost track and I am trying at my best to recollect as it occured.

'Juan' comes close to the counter. " are you hiring I need a job". Without looking into my face nothing says "NO"

And you know what!! For some reason I didn't believe him. For some reason I believed I was dealing with a basic case of RACISM!!.

Yes Im white and yes I am declaring I have been violated Racially. I know dont worry democrats all is well.

After walking out it occured to me that the gal behind the counter couldnt fully understand english.

Her co worker understood this and tried to help her immediately by directing her to the next authority. Who I believe didn't want me working their because I was not hispanic...

Now, I am certain I have pissed someone off. I am not a racist by any sterotype or strectch of the imagination.

But I felt, akward. I wonder? Why?
