Is it a thing or is it everything? Is money a means or is it a goal to reach? Is it just a piece of paper, metal or is it a virus that destroys our good lives?
There is a big difference between people who save with a goal in mind and people that just save because of greed. There are people who think years in advance and have different goals that they plan for themselves and their family. Maybe they are simple and maybe some might be extravagant, however, with this savings they expect to obtain a good deed for themselves or for their family. While others save because of greed! The feeling that they never have enough money to make them satisfied or happy.
Sure, money does not buy happiness or create the happiness for the family. Nevertheless, without the money saved, there could not be a stable family. A family needs a roof over their heads, food, clothes to wear, shoes, electricity, gas, and water. These are the essentials for any family. Then comes the extras that all families enjoy and some hope to have. Like cable TV, cell phones, extra car, home phone, music lessons, sports for the children, and the list goes on and on. Next important item that a family needs and wants is education for their children. Now this expense is a major issue for all parents around the world. For some more so than others.
In some countries education is free, however, the education that is obtained may not be sufficient for a person to still obtain a good job. This is the case in Egypt, education is free for students. However, those students will have to be in a classroom with more than 3000 other students. With the class lectured by one professor and only one professor to answer all questions from these students. This is an impossibility and sets up students for failure in school and also when they do apply for work.
Then there are those families that have saved and planned ahead for their children. These parents knew the problems that are in these free schools and they wanted to alleviate these issues and to provide better opportunities for their children. These parents saved for many years so that their children could go to classrooms with only hundred and fifty students. So that if they needed to ask a question, to better understand the lecture then they might be able to have their answers.
Then there are the parents that sacrificed all for their children and the parents that are just rich because they horde their money. These parents saved everything possible so that their children could have the best education available. These students are the luckiest of all students here in Egypt. These students education could be compared to the education in most universities in the United States. The classrooms have one professor per fifty students. Now these students have the opportunity to ask questions and actually get answers for their questions. They can actually converse and debate issues in classrooms, where as in the other two this was and is an impossibility. These students can acquire the extra assistance from a professor when they need it.
