This increase in armaments by North Korea hauntingly reminds me of Hitler's gradual build-up of machinery and take-overs prior to his horrific massacre of Jews and launch into war. I distinctly remember in my A.P. U.S. history notes from class a long list of suspicious actions that Hitler took such as creating a weapons manufacturing factory and accumulating military equipment. Furthermore, what was scary is the fact that the United States and its allies all were "monitering" his actions but decided to let him have his way "just this one time" and "gradually" because we were afraid of angering him and launching into a war then and there. What happened was that we let Hitler build up his armies and take over countries (I can't remember the details; I think Hitler took over like Poland and surrounding countries, right? Someone refresh my memory?) Anyhow, Hitler was smart in that regard and we let him do it because we were afraid to make a move. I'm worried that this might be the case today. What if North Korea has a long-term goal similar to Hitler's or at least similar in his desire of taking over countries if not persecuting jews, and what if North Korea is slowly and gradually and secretly making itself strong enough for that future goal? I don't know. Just a thought.

Ya your right this needs to be taken seriously. What we do have now is the most powerful military behind us versus when Hitler was starting world war two. But we can not turn our shoulder to this and i dont think we will.
