    George Washington's home

First a couple treats for all the world as After nearly three years of excavation, archaeologists confirmed last 4th of July the discovery of the site of George Washington's boyhood home near the banks of the Rappahannock River in northeast Virginia. Archaeologists find remains of Washington's boyhood home

Then to celebrate it A rare and original manuscript of one of America's most patriotic songs has been discovered in a flea market bargain. A shopper browsing through the market in New York bought a framed picture of a flower for $10 and found handwritten manuscript of "America" (My Country 'tis of Thee) tucked behind the picture, the manuscript's owner said Thursday.

The manuscript of the song whose lyrics were written by Samuel Francis Smith in 1831 could be worth tens of thousands of dollars, said the owner, art collector Keya Morgan. He said he bought it from the flea market shopper, who has asked not to be identified. The song was intended to be played in schools to inspire and teach children and was first played in public on July 4, 1831, in the First Baptist Church in Newton, Massachusetts, Morgan said. The song is written to the tune of "God Save the Queen," the national anthem of the United Kingdom. Rare song manuscript found in flea market

In Iran The arm twisting and attempts to keep the truth from getting out will never stop as long as Khamenei and Ahmadinejad are in power. The following story illustrates that. I can't say it enough that I am so impressed with what I have been seeing from the Iranian people since the election. I am including the songs in Farsi by Bon Jovi and Joan Baez to show solidarity with the Iranian people and the Boston Pops Stars and Stripes and 4th of July Finale!
I am trying to lighten up today and a couple of my sons one on leave before preparing to go to Afghanistan are at Plum Island and in Maine Striper fishing so I am squeezing this in! I will try to cook on the grill in celebration of the day. I hope you all can do the same. Have a nice Fourth of July and God Bless America, Iran, and the world!

Hi Fauzia
The country and the entire world. We are all interdependent today and Obama knows it. We have the right leader at the right time now if only people would cooperate starting with Republicans.

Obama, the claimed "citizen of the world." Just where do you get this, and are you a government employee or paid propaganda writer.

You blame the Republicans? Both parties have merged, or are you now aware of that, and are now under the "will" of the global bankers and UN.

But I guess you missed that. Or are playing dumb and spreading this fodder to retain your illusions.

Bismillah al rahman al rahim...
Thank you, Fauzia. Now if we could just do away with Democrats and Republicans our country might be able to do the will of the people and not just the special interest groups that pervade our country. Someday, inshallah.

Amen to that. The two party system is our enemy. They only care about their party's not average Americans. Obama is on his own!

Funny, as one who is posting a video celebrating our Independence from foreign rule and control, and believes apparently in interventionalism with respect to the Iranian's government which does, after all, have a state religion in their Constituional documents would be posting the celebration in this country which has reverted back to foreign rule and control due to foreign alliances which have remained far after the wars in which we were engaged.

And Obama has not removed our troops yet from Iraq, now has he, and is involved in establishing the U.S. puppet government there.

Apparently, another clueless American. And just how have we severed our ties with Britain? Or Israel might I ask? And just what WAS that revolutionary war about anyway? Wasn't it entanglement with a foreign ruler and alliance?

Isn't Obama (that foreign ruler) and his "politicies" and "federal mandates" as with Bush also superceding your state government?

Do you know at all what our form of government was actually intended to be?

This government is now actually what the founding fathers intended it to be. Their goal was to create a country founded on Masonic principles, a one-world government and a one-world religion. Anything goes. This is exactly the philosophy that this modern US government operates under.

Do not separate text from historical background. If you do, you will have perverted and subverted the Constitution, which can only end in a distorted, bastardized form of illegitimate government.

It is a universal truth that the loss of liberty at home is to be charged to the provisions against danger, real or pretended, from abroad.

It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood.

No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.

Of all the enemies of public liberty, war is perhaps the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other.

I don't know where you studied U.S. history, but apparently from the U.S. television stations. SOME of the founders were masons, but the framers did not intend a "one world government" at all. That is why our provisions for war are for defensive purposes, not offensive ones. And most were Christians or deists. Have you ever heard of religious objectors, such as served in World War II or the Amish people in Pennsylvania? Did you know John Adams' background was Puritan? Did you know that nation building was not something they wanted any part of, and that democracy always fail because it is nothing but "gang rule?"

Where are you from?

And I would like to know the name of your publisher, if you would provide it, because you do seem to be quite an artist, but your research for what is represented as non-fiction leaves much to be desired.

Let me take that back, not more about America or American history, but more about the propaganda that is spewed from our media on a daily basis. So, using foreigners as paid or governmental bloggers certainly does "protect" them from treason for some of the propaganda written here, especially with respect to most of the "liberals" on here that would do well to look up Madison's quote on how the Constitution should be read, and what would happen if it was "bastardized" by "liberal" interpretation? After all, he did write it, and is credited with being the father of the Constitution, so he should know.

Apparently much more than those here. What treason, passing such heinous legislation and "global governmental agenda" a week before Independence Day. Obama is no Constitutional lawyer, that's for sure.

He's a one man train wreck.
Posted By Ross1776 Ross1776 | 4 months ago
Right, and just how many governmental or paid bloggers are there on this site - since most of the foreigners here know more about America and American history, and seem to be inordinately fascinated with it. Much more than it appears many of the "American" bloggers do.
