His memorial is set for July 7, 2009

It's finally official. The Staples Center at 10am on July 7th. There will be only a limited amount of tickets that are going to be distributed for free. People will have to register online to get them.

Ok heres the details. There will be 17,500 tickets free tickets. There will also be free worldwide video feed. 11,000 tickets will be for seats inside the Staples Center and 6,500 will be seats in the Nokia Theatre which is next door. Fans will be able to watch a simulcast.

People who want tickets must register on the Internet atStaplescenter.com. After 6 p.m. Saturday, 8,750 names will be randomly selected to receive two tickets each. The notifications will go out on Sunday.

Those that are selected will obtain their tickets via Ticketmaster on Monday. Registration is available to US residents only.

No details of the memorial service itself have been released yet.
