News is now defined by a corporate media that likes to set an agenda to keep people away from serious issues or at least to trivialise them. It is also a matter of what sells. Pop culture is so all pervasive that people are often more interested in the light news after a hard days work than getting involved with serious issues and news. i know and now a days people would rather sit back and watch things that are mind numbingly unimportant in the sense of our life and whats important to us most the time masses would rather be controled for if there is no control only chaos can strive and the fear is what drives them to be led!
