How did the Air France Airbus crash?

It is now more than a month that the Air France Airbus A330-200 crashed into the Pacific Ocean. All the 228 persons of Flight AF447 met a watery grave. The search of the Black Box continues. However, on a study of the debris recovered, investigators have a strong feeling that the Airbus crashed into the water in a horizontal direction and did not disintegrate in air as was earlier being believed. This contradicts the earlier version that the aeroplane broke up in the air because many of the bodies were without any clothes – it was presumed that the clothes were ripped off due to the high velocity of the falling bodies. He actual results might never be known and, as and when the Black Box is recovered, some more light could fall on the subject.

A Sao Paulo newspaper also said that some bodies were found wearing little or no clothing. The AP quoted Washington aviation-safety consultant Jack Casey saying that in a mid-air breakup, "the clothes are just torn away."
