The Kama Sutra is an ancient Indian file on sex, widely considered to be the standard work on love in the Sanskrit literature. The workbook was written by Vatsyayana. The full title of the set book is vātsyāyana kāma sūtra ("Aphorisms on Love, by Vatsyayana"). The author is believed to have lived sometime between the 1st to 6th centuries A.D, probably during the Gupta extent.
Kamasutra is made of two words Kama + Sutra. Kama means desire especially sexual desire and Sutra system thread or I will say formula/technical workbook. That means Kamasutra refers to sex formulae.
