Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and OSCE Chairman, the Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis discussed today in Yerevan, the Armenian-Greek relations, regional and international processes and programs implemented by the OSCE in Armenia.

Head of the Armenian Foreign Minister held talks on the basis of a press conference said that in the coming months in Armenia with the assistance of the OSCE missions and the European Commission to open the Diplomatic Academy.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Dora Bakoyannis said that the Armenian-Greek relations «just fine». «Between our peoples, there are historic friendly relations, is an incentive for the development of bilateral relations», she said.

In his capacity as chairman of the OSCE Head of the Greek Foreign Minister said that Armenia is a very important country for the security of South Caucasus. «We are aware of the steps taken by Armenia on the settlement of relations with Turkey, and we wish her success in this process», - she said.

Responding to questions from journalists, Edward Nalbandian said that you can only welcome the willingness of Turkey to follow the agreements reached in Geneva on the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations and opening the border without any preconditions. "We expect the Turkish side of practical steps in this direction," - said the head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry. According to him, the Armenian side for the entire negotiating process, starting with the fall of 2008, takes precisely this position.
